A member of our staff will be contacting you by telephone a day or two
before your procedure for your pre-op interview and to give you the time you
need to arrive for your procedure. It is important that we gather
health information prior to your scheduled surgery or procedure so that we
can better care for you. This will include a brief medical history,
including all medications that you are currently taking.
Instructions:

- After midnight the night before your
surgery, do not eat or drink anything. This includes
alcoholic beverages, water, mints, and chewing gum.
Undigested food can cause complications, and if you have eaten your
surgery could be cancelled.
- Avoid Aspirin or Aspirin containing products such as Motrin,
Advil, and Nuprin for one week prior to your procedure.
- The morning of surgery please bathe or shower to minimize the
chance of infection. You may brush your teeth, but do not swallow
any water.
- If you are on heart or blood pressure medication, take your
medication as scheduled with a small sip of water.
- Wear flat, slip-on shoes and comfortable clothing with a
button down shirt.
